Circuits Pittsburgh

Software, hardware, and small-batch electronics — engineered and built in Pittsburgh.

When a project needs more than one discipline — firmware running on a custom board, in a small production run, on a deadline — Circuits Pittsburgh covers the full stack. From schematic to populated boards to the code that runs on them, with one team and one phone number.

What we do

Electrical hardware design

Schematic capture and PCB layout from prototype through production-ready. Mixed-signal, microcontroller, power-stage, and embedded RF designs. Deliverables include schematics, layout, BOM, fab files, and a build packet your manufacturer can drop straight into production — or that we can build ourselves.

Software & firmware consulting

Embedded firmware (C/C++/Rust on ARM Cortex-M, RISC-V, and Linux SoCs), backend services, and the tooling that ties hardware and software together. Drop-in for projects that need a senior engineer for a defined scope, or sustained engagement on a longer build. (Note: stacks/languages section is a placeholder — owner will refine.)

Contract manufacturing & assembly

Small-batch production runs — kitted or turn-key — with parts sourcing handled in-house. SMT and through-hole, mixed-technology boards, prototype builds, and short production. Best fit for batches of 10 to a few hundred. Past that, we'll point you to a high-volume CM and help you transfer the package.

Why us

Pittsburgh-based, owner-operated. The person who quotes your job is the same person who designs it, populates the boards, and answers the phone when something goes wrong. No layered handoffs, no offshore time-zone games — just clean engineering and honest delivery.
